Turning Twenty-Four
I know I've been exceptionally quiet as of late, but then again the only time I update this journal is to inform of commission information so this might count for something! It's been a very long time since I've actually talked about the goings on over here. I think my birthday is as good as any reason to write a small journal! I turned twenty-four today, which hardly feels any different from whence I turned twenty-two, or twenty for that matter. I've come to the point in my life where every day is a treasure and every friend a priceless gift as I move forward with my life. I apologize if things sound a little sappy, but there it is!
Today was very quiet in comparison to my past birthdays, but I didn't want it any other way. Spending time with my friends and family right now is a high priority as I ready myself for US Air Force basic training in the coming months. It was a relaxing day full of movies ('The Grey' and 'Thor' amongst them), one heck of a chocolate cake that is a diabetic's bane, brand new tires for my car, and one too many "I like this. ANOTHER!" Thor/Avengers jokes on my part. There's even a 'Ring of Fire' eclipse going on today, but I'm far too eastward to be able to see it (but thanks anyway, Space! It's the thought that counts). ;>
Joking aside, I had a wonderful final-at-home birthday this day and logging onto this site to see and read all of these wonderful well-wishes and beautiful gift works has made it even sweeter! I can't thank you guys enough. I'll do my best to reply back to each and every one of you! You are all amazing and I'm grateful to know and meet so many of you.

Glad to read that you had a great day and omg Air Force? That is awesome! 8D My brother is in the Air Force, its been a year this month since he left (*tear* :c) but he is really enjoying it. So you get to go to Lackland Airforce base, it is a pretty cool place, got to go there to watch him graduate from basic and stuffs. :3
So congratulations from my random self on going into the Air Force, I know it will be a great experience for you but I will miss seeing your awesome artworks on here for those eight weeks or so that you will have of basic.
And yes, I'm very excited to be shipping out to BMT very, very soon. Well, thankfully more excited than nervous -- I've been conditioning myself every day since my visit to MEPS and took the Oath, more than six months ago. You must be very proud of your brother, I think it's shining through your comment (and rightly so, good for him I say! I wish him all the best in his endeavors!). C:
And thank you for your support, it means a lot to me actually. I was debating with myself for months on when to announce that I'd enlisted, you never know how people take these things. It's the internet of course, so it should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's not to say it shouldn't be handled carefully. But thank you again for the kind words and support. <3
