9 - NO WAI.

I have a sentient species called Tikao, after the Maori word Tikaokao.
Convergent speculation? (Just the name though, not much physical similarity.) Where did you get the name?

The racial name T'kao (pronounced tee-cow) just came to me during one of my headworld moments. I was toying with them back in January of 2011 but never really drew them 'til this year along with one of my other saurian chimerans. Pretty cool how the names are so similar, and just ran through your gallery to look at the Tikao and holy cow! Are they an anthro baboon-ish race, too? 'Cause consider my mind blown.

Not baboon-ish, rather feathered humanoids, but I'm toying around with ideas to make them less humanesque, since I already have a separate species/branch of humanoids.
But yes, freaking cool.
